UN general assembly - Ivorian president, Alassane Ouattara, left Abidjan on Monday to attend the 66th session of the general assembly of the United Nations in New York.
According to the communique issued by the Ivorian President's Office, President Ouattara, who will be in the United States from 19 to 25 September, will deliver a speech on 22 September to present his vision of the world's major issues and future prospects for Côte d'Ivoire.
President Ouattara will take advantage of his stay to meet his counterparts and figures in the world of diplomacy, finance, business and the Ivorian community living in the United Sttes, the communique said.
This will be his second visit to the US since his inauguration on 21 May/
