Football - Mali's local national team on Friday beat Benin 1-0 in their 3rd round of Group B match in the ongoing 5th edition of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) tournament.
Mali thus tops the Group and would play Senegal in the final on Sunday.
The only goal of the match was scored at the 13th minute by Ousmane Cissé.
Mali topped the group with 7 points followed by the defending champions Niger (5 points), Benin (4 points) and Guinea Bissau (0 point).
UEMOA comprises eight West frican countries sharing the CFA franc, namely Senegal, Togo, Mali, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, la Guine Bissau, Benin and Niger.
