LTH Services Nigeria: Fadiora determines to boost LTH services. The newly appointed Chief Medical Director (CMD)of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital (LTH), Osogbo, Professor Olufemi Fadiora has said that he is poised to lead the hospital to international standard as well as ensure that patients are not overburdened by high cost of service charges.
"Towards this end, the hospital will increase its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) through commercialization of the hospital's multi-million naira oxygen plant."
According to a press statement signed the hospital Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Ayodele Adeyemo, plans are at advance stage for the hospital to produce its own drugs and sell to other interested hospitals.
Fadiora also said that the hospital will embark on the training and re-training of personnel both locally and internationally.
He then assured the staff of the hospital that their welfare will be improved as prompt payment of salaray and wages will be sustained.
The CMD also commended the two owner states, Oyo and Osun for the recent implementation of the new salary scale (CONHESS& CONMESS) which he said will enhance the performance of the state.
It would be recalled that Fadiora was recently confirmed as the substantive CMD of LAUTECH Teaching hospital by the governor of Osunbstate, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, who is also the visitor to LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.
Before his conferment, he had been the acting CMD of LAUTECH teaching hospital, Osogbo since January 2011. Fadiora is a consultant general surgeon as well as a lecturer in the Department of LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.
