Tanzania-Football: TFF Organizes TMS, Players' Registration Course for Clubs

Football-Tanzania - The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) is expected to organize the players' Transfer Matching System (TMS) and players' registration course for Mainland Premier League clubs in Dar es Salaam from June 27-29. TFF information officer, Boniface Wambura, said the course will be held at the federation's premises and will involve the clubs' secretary generals and TMS managers. The course gears towards ensuring domestic clubs are on a par with the rest in the world when it comes to putting the new player registration procedures into practice. Meanwhile, the second round of the Copa Coca-Cola U-17 national championship is expected to take place at Karume Memorial Stadium and Tanganyika Packers venue in the city on Friday and Saturday.

Wambura said Friday's matches, to be played in the morning and evening, will pit Kinondoni against Coast Region at Karume and Kilimanjaro versus Rukwa at Tanganyika Packers venue in the morning while evening matches will see Temeke and Mara lock horns at Karume as Shinyanga play Arusha at Tanganyika Packers venue.

Saturday's matches will see Kigoma meet Dodoma at Karume, Tanga play Mbeya at Tanganyika Packers venue in the morning while evening games will be Mjini Magharibi versus Ruvuma at Karume as Morogoro confronts Ilala at Tanganyika Packers venue.

"The quarterfinals are expected to take place from June 26 to 27 at Karume Memorial Stadium", said Wambura.

Meanwhile, the TFF Elections Committee has barred three candidates for leadership in Coastal Union club from participating in the club's election after examining the officials' election forms.

Wambura said the committee, which met in the city on Wednesday, found that the officials, Yakubu Athumani, Titus Bandawe and Steven Mnguto, did not fulfill all requirements for contesting for leadership in their club and were therefore axed.

Coastal Union will hold election on July 2, in which positions to be contested for include the chairmanship and members of the executive committee.

Wambura said none has come up to contest for the vice chairmanship post and it will therefore be filled in later on, in accordance with article 29 (3) of the club's constitution.
