Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control - The Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, Dr. Paul Orhii, has disclosed that the chairperson of Primus Hospital in India, Dr. Achla Dewan, plans to establish a centre for specialised surgeries in Benue State.

The Director General made the disclosure while conducting him round facilities at the Lessel General Hospital in Ushongo Local Government Area.

Dr. Orhii and the visitors were accompanied by the Benue State Commissioner of Health and Human Services, Dr. Orduen Abunku.

He said that the Indians were interested in assisting Benue State in setting up a trauma centre and explained that it was for that reason that they decided to come and report to the Commissioner of Health to work out the details.
