Brussels, Belgium - The European Union (EU) has called on all parties involved in the fight in Sudan to fully respect 'the international humanitarian law”.
A statement issued here Thursday said the appeal was made by the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aids, Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, following Sunday's air raid that killed five and injured dozens in a displaced persons camp in Jilib, Southern Sudan.
Georgieva expressed 'particular concern for those innocent people who were forced to flee their homes in search of food, water and shelter, putting themselves at higher risk.'
The EU official welcomed Kenyan government’s decision to investigate the air raid.
