Electronics academy - Samsung Electronics West Africa has announced plans to establish an electronics academy in Nigeria where thousands of electrical engineers would acquire skills in modern electronics technology that could boost the company's operations in the country.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos on the commencement of activities to mark the first edition of "Samsung Week", the Managing Director, Samsung Nigeria, Mr. Idorenyen Enang outlined the company's care and services strategy in Nigeria.
He explained that the academy is part of the strategy to enhance its operations in the continent to support its innovations of producing made for Africa products by Samsung Electronics Company.
Enang stated that such academy currently exist in Johannesburg South African where Samsung has trained over 10,000 electronics engineers in support of the African eco systems products.
According to him, the "Samsung Week" is a two cities week where there will be series of activities taking place in Lagos and Port Harcourt.
He said the week is a rich platform to immerse consumers with the ranges of latest products and technologies from Samsung world.
