Kinshasa, DR Congo - At least 13 people died on Monday when two boats ran into each other in an accident on river Congo, the mayor of the district of Maluku in DR Congo, Papy Epania Nzamu told journalists on Tuesday. 'There were about 30 survivors,' he said, adding that the boats were carrying illegal traders from DR Congo who did business in Congo.

According to Mr Nzamu, the accident occurred on the Congo river, about 102 km from Kinshasa, the capital of DR Congo.
