Parliamentary elections - The parliamentary elections in Senegal will be held on 17 June, according to a communiqué from the ministry in charge of Elections here.
The last parliamentary elections, boycotted by most opposition parties which objected to the arrangements in the electoral register, were held in June 2007.
Senegalese Parliament, which has a life span of five years, has 150 members, including 90 elected in proportional poll and 60 in majority departmental vote.
The first round of the Senegalese presidential election will be held 26 February.
