Kenya thrash Seychelles in Olympic Volleyball qualifier - Africa’s top-two volleyball teams Kenya and Algeria, served off their Women’s Africa Zone Olympic qualifiers on winning notes in Blida, Algeria, on Thursday night.

African champions Kenya made good use of their vast experience to see off Seychelles in straight sets of 25-15, 25-21, 25-23.

Hosts Algeria pulled off a stunning victory over north African rivals Egypt 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-17, 25-20) in the tournament's opening match.

Algeria sent a strong message to rivals Kenya, reminding the east African that they too thirst for a ticket to the London Olympic Games, set for  August.

Kenya were scheduled to take on traditional rivals Egypt, while Algeria were play Seychelles in second round matches Friday evening.
