Guinean woman still homeless in Brussels despite labour court's decision - Despite the decision of the Labour Court of Brussels that FEDASIL, the Belgian state body in charge of assisting foreign asylum seekers, should find a house to shelter Guinean Fatou Sow, the lady is still in the streets as at Thursday morning, PANA reports.
Fatou Sow, 33, who suffers from cancer, was unable to return to the reception centre for foreign asylum seekers after a session of chemotherapy in a clinic because her badge was deactivated.
Shocked by the development, human rights associations filed a complaint with the court which Wednesday ruled that FEDASIL must pay, on a daily basis, 500 euros as fine if it does not find housing for Fatou Sow who is still in the streets even as winter is beginning to set in with fierce winds blowing in the night in Belgium.
