He said the state government would immediately commence the construction of the remaining road in Obudu that has not been worked on and laced with asphalt.
"I am excited to be in Obudu. Today the commissioner for Works is from Obudu. I have directed him that the remaining roads in Obudu should be tarred immediately.
"We have an Obudu dam that the Federal Government built; so much water everywhere but no water in Obudu. I am not waiting for the Federal Government. Cross River State government will make sure there is water in Obudu.
"Something shocked me today when I saw the paramount ruler; he said to me there is no General Hospital in Obudu. The paramount ruler said there is no general hospital in Obudu. A colonial town like Obudu, no general hospital! I am telling you here that before I came back again to campaign I will commission the new general hospital l," Imoke assured.
Imoke said at the stadium that his administration would continue to focus on health care delivery, provision of teaching and learning environment in schools and the reduction of poverty among the people through the execution of programmes that would improve the economic lot of the citizens.
The governor also told the youths in the rally that the state government has established a micro-finance project that would enable them benefit from loans so they could set up small-scale industries that would provide them with direct employment and as well as enable them cater for their dependants.
Imoke took advantage of the rally to charge the government appointees from Obudu to conduct their activities in ways that would benefit the people of the area, stressing that Obudu indigenes should always hold their appointees responsible for their welfare and wellbeing.
Imoke said, "Your sons are not doing badly in Cross River State government. They are running Cross River State government. If they say they are not the people running government, tell them it is a lie.
"And they must run that government for the benefit of Obudu people. So, for all of these, I need your support beg of you only one thing; your support."
