Health-Nigeria - Minister of State for Education, Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, has re-echoed the determination of Federal Government to continue promoting awareness on HIV/AIDS among school children as he also commended Global Fund's efforts in promoting HIV/AIDS Education in primary and secondary school levels world-wide. The Minister gave the commendation while receiving some key officials of Global Fund, led by the Portfolio Manager, Ms Christa Arient, who visited him in Abuja.

He said the agency's fund run through Reproductive and Family Health in Nigeria has helped in creating awareness on preventive measures against the spread of HIV/AIDS in primary and secondary schools.

The minister added that the Federal Ministry of Education has taken measures such as inclusion of HIV/AIDS education in the curricula of Basic Education.
