Morocco to take part in Algiers fair

Rabat, Morocco - A Moroccan economic mission will take part in the first edition of the Maghreb Fair in Algiers, to be held from 26 November to 1 December, according to a statement issued Friday by the Moroccan Export Promotion Centre (CMPE).

Initiated by the Algerian Fair and Exhibition Company (SAFEX), the event is aimed at enhancing economic and trade relations among Arab Maghreb Union (AMU) countries.

The member countries of AMU, a sub-regional group founded in February 1989 in Marrakech, are Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia.

According to the statement, the fair is also aimed at identifying business, investment and economic partnership opportunities among Maghreb investors.

Morocco will be represented by 34 companies from various sectors, notably textile, leather, agribusiness, chemistry, parachemistry, construction and construction materials, mechanical, metallic and electric industries, crafts, tourism and hostel industry.
