Cairo, Egypt - The qualifying series for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations reached the half-way mark over the weekend, with matches played across Africa in the 11 groups. At the end of the matches, one lucky team, Botswana, picked the ticket to the finals of the tournament, to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, which are automatic qualifiers. But the remaining groups have three more matches to play, ending in October, to determine the winners of the remaining tickets. Only the group winners and the three best runners-up will travel to the finals.
