Entitled the 'Green Ifriqiya', the exhibition is featuring about 150 foreign and Tunisian companies which specialize in the environment.
The exhibition which was opened by the Tunisian Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Nadhir Hamada, is also featuring environmental technologies and workshop on the management of waste material.
Organisers of the exhibition say a 'market of carbon' that will enable African countries to sell part of their reduced greenhouse gas emissions to industrialized nations, particularly Germany, will be on show.
In his speech at the opening, Hamada said that environmental investment in Tunisia, which represents 1.2% of the Gross Internal Product, increased by 90% in the past 15 years.
