According to the meteorological services, the phenomenon was, at 12.00 GMT, loca ted on the North-North-East of the island, around the point 12 degrees South and 66.8 degrees East, at about 1,320 kilometres on the North-East.
The storm is moving in a general direction at a speed of 10 km/h, the source added.
The temperature currently varies between 30 and 33 degrees C in Mauritius.
