Regional bourse stabilizing

Bourse - The Regional Bourse for the French West Africa (BRVM) closed trading Thursday, staying put on same level recorded on Wednesday.

The BRVM composite index closed at 134.94, as previously and the BRVM 10 index closed at 144.00 points, points down 0.03 per cent.

The value of the transactions was 652.97 million CFA francs, compared to the 117.88 million CFA francs reported last session.

Trading involved 14 of the 38 companies listed on the stock exchange, while the number of securities traded climbed to 67,859.

Sixteen of the 20 accredited brokerage firms, including eight from outside Cote d'Ivoire, took part in the market.

Stock market capitalization was 2,798,859,525,511 CFA francs as that for the bond market rose to 509,327,731,640 CFA francs.

On the bond market, 63,589 bonds were traded for a total value of 629.64 million CFA francs, not counting accrued coupons.
