In a statement here, the bourse said the BRVM Composite index rose to 0.53%, climbing from 131.21 to 131.91 points while the BRVM 10 index closed at 143.88 points, up 0.08%.
The value of the transactions was 575.50 million CFA francs, compared to the 765.47 million CFA francs reported on Thursday.
It said that trading involved 18 of the 38 companies listed on the stock exchange and that the number of securities traded climbed to 90,050.
Seventeen of the 20 accredited brokerage firms, including nine from outside Cote d'Ivoire, took part in the market.
Stock market capitalization was 2,798,206,040,840 CFA francs and that for the bond market rose to 510,486,168,430 CFA francs.
On the bond market, 50,030 bonds were traded for a total value of 495,29 million CFA francs, not counting accrued coupons.
