Regional bourse dips

The Regional Bourse for the French West Africa (BRVM) closed trading here on Wednesday slightly lower than the it did on Tuesday.

The BRVM composite index lost 0.45%, dropping from 132.16 to 131.57 points, as the BRVM 10 index closed at 143.66 points down 0.52%.

The value of the transactions was 88.01 million CFA francs, compared to the 307.47 million CFA francs reported last session.

Trading involved 17 of the 38 companies listed on the stock exchange, while the number of securities traded climbed to 15,684.

Thirteen of the 20 accredited brokerage firms, including six from outside Cote d'Ivoire, took part in the market.

Stock market capitalization was 2,791,821,975,794 CFA francs and that for the bo nd market rose to 529,927,888,740 CFA francs.

On the bond market, 2,685 bonds were traded for a total value of 25.98 million CFA francs, not counting accrued coupons.
