Nouakchott, Mauritania – The Emir of Qatar, Cheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa Al Thani, is expected on Thursday in Nouakchott for a two-day official visit, reliable sources told PANA on Tuesday.

The visit follows the invitation sent by the president of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.

The visit, which would strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries, would be marked by the signing of a series of cooperation agreements in the sectors of water supply, sanitation and social services.

The Emirate of Qatar is involved in several investment projects in Mauritania.
