The agreement was reached at a meeting here over the weekend between Chadian President Idriss Deby and the Secretary of the Libyan general people's committee, Dr Baghd adi Mahmoudi.
President Deby and Dr Mahmoudi also agreed to present the studies necessary for the next CEN-SAD summit, so as to ensure the execution of the programmes of the Community to turn it into an instrument for the consolidation of the AU process.
The top officials also reviewed the bilateral relations between Tripoli and N'Djamena and how to strengthen such. They agreed on the ways and means of implementing the decisions reached du ring the last meeting of the extended joint Libya-Chadian commission.
The Deby/Mahmoudi parley was also attended by the Secretary of the Libyan general people's committee for external affairs and international cooperation Moussa Koussa, Secretary General of CEN-SAD Mohamed Al -Madani Al-Azhari and the delegation accompanying President Deby, comprising the Ministers of foreign affairs, Moussa Faki Mahamat, and Agriculture, M'Bailaou Lossimian.
Earlier on Saturday, Libyan leader Mouammar Kadhafi, the current chairman of the African Union, received in Tripoli the Chadian President and his Zambian counterpart, Rupiah Banda, who stopped over in Libya on his way to Italy to attend the World Summit on Food Security, organised by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
