This is the second time in less than a month that the Gambian leader had to cancel his overseas trip owing to flight problems.
A couple of weeks ago, Jammeh had to abruptly cancel his trip to Paris, France, for the UNESCO general conference.
Many observers said, however, that there was more to the story than the flight problems, alleging that Jammeh was bothered by security concerns.
To support their claims, they cited the recent wave of dismissals of top military officers in the tiny West African country.
