Marrakech, Morocco - Host Morocco and third-place winner Egypt dominated the 'best eleven' list released by African soccer's governing body, CAF, on Saturday after the conclusion of the 26 Nov.-10 Dec. CAF Under-23 Championship. The two countries have three players each on the list, which also contained one player each from tournament winner Gabon, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Senegal and South Africa.
Eight teams participated in the championship, which doubled as the qualifiers for the 2012 London Olympics.
The top three nations - Gabon, Morocco and Egypt - have qualified automatically for the Olympics, while fourth-placed Senegal will engage in a play-off against an Asian side for another possible slot.
Gabon shocked bookmakers by beating Morocco 2-1 in the final, while Egypt defeated Senegal 2-0 to finish third.
