FIFA to inspect DR Congo stadiums in May

Footbal-RD Congo - An inspector of the world football governing body (FIFA), Swiss Markus Keller, is expected 3 May in Kinshasa, DR Congo, on an inspection mission of the country’s three stadiums, said the Congolese Football Federation (FECOFA) Sunday. The stadiums are Martyrs and Tata Raphaël in Kinshasa and the la Kenya in Lubumbashi. Keller will assess the synthetic turf of the stadiums, which was installed through a funding by FIFA.

He will also examine possibilities for installing artificial turf at the Kurara Mpova technical center in Mikala, Kinshasa.

Implemented in 2008, the synthetic turf of the Martyrs stadium will cost US$ 2 million.
