FIFA 2010 World Cup: Kenya coach shuns journalists

Football - Kenya's national football team coach, Antoine Hey, Friday in Nairobi, shunned interviews and even ordered security men to send out journalists when they stormed his hotel to interview him on Saturday's World Cup qualifying match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Hey, a German, was having discussions with his assistant about the World Cup qua lifier and on sighting the journalists, his countenance changed. He ordered the hotel security to send the journalists away.

PANA noted here that the German was particularly unhappy about the way his disapearance from the team was published in Kenyan newspapers.

Some newspapers reported that some Kenyan fans are backing the Super Eagles, even without kicking the ball, which might have also provoked the coach.
