FIFA 2010 World Cup: Kenya coach shuns journalists

Football - Kenya's national football team coach, Antoine Hey, Friday in Nairobi, shunned interviews and even ordered security men to send out journ a lists when they stormed the hotel he was lodged to interview him on the World Cup qualifying match aginst the Super Eagles of Nigeria that would be played here on Sunday.

Hey, a German, was having discussions with his assistant about the World Cup qua lifier and on sighting the journalists, his countenance changed as he ordered the hotel security to send the journalists out.

PANA noted here on Friday that the German was particularly unhappy about the way his disapearance from the team was published in Kenyan newspapers and this prompted his action.

Some newspapers reported that some Kenyan fans have already conceeded victory to the Nigerian senior national team, even without kicking a ball, which might have also provoked the coach.
