Kigali, Rwanda - The British secretary of State for international development, Andrew Mitchell, arrived in Rwanda on Tuesday for a three-day visit during which he will join a team of British volunteers from the UK ruling Conservative Party who are working on several community development projects in the central African country.
A Rwandan official source said on Tuesday evening in Kigali that shortly after he arrived, Mr Mitchell inaugurated a new hospital built in the south of the country.
He is expected to visit other community development projects financed by the British throughout the country.
Rwanda, so far has about 50 British volunteers including doctors and engineers operating in several domains of the country’s socio-economic life.
