Football Sudan - Sudan on Tuesday beat newly-promoted Qatari club Al-Jaish 2-1 in a  friendly aimed at preparing the national team for the 21 Jan.-12 Feb Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. All the goals were scored in the first half of the match, played n Doha.

The team has scheduled another friendly against second division side Musaimir, meaning it will now play three more friendlies before heading to the Nations Cup.

Sudan had been previously scheduled to play Tunisia (9Jan) and Senegal (12Jan).

A final friendly is on the cards between the Desert Hawks and co-host Gabon on the team's arrival at the nations Cup venue.

Sudan is in group B of the 2012 tournament with Cote d’Ivoire, Angola and Burkina Faso.

The Desert Hawks will start their campaign against the Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire 22 Jan.
