According to the statement, which was read on the national television by the general secretary of the government, Tyéoulou Félix, the visit of the Facilitator of the inter-Ivorian dialogue will begin in the country's political capital, Yamoussoukro, where the first joint Council of Ministers of the two countries would be held.
On 17 September, President Compaore will deliver a speech at the National Assembly at Abidjan, and on the last day of his visit, he will hold talks with his Ivorian counterpart, Laurent Gbagbo.
The visit of the Burkinabe President takes place ahead of the Ivorian presidential election scheduled for 29 November.
