African Union Commission chair in Luanda

Luanda, Angola - The chairperson of the African Union Commission, Nkosazana Dlamini- Zuma, arrived here Friday for a brief working visit to Angola. At the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, Dlamini-Zuma was welcomed by the Angolan secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto, and workers of the South African Embassy in Angola, PANA reported, quoting the Angolan News Agency (ANGOP).

Dlamini-Zuma will later be received by the Angolan leader, José Eduardo dos Santos, with whom she will discuss issues related to the continent. The parley is being held on the eve of the
Summit of the African Union (AU), to be held on 21-22 January in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Dlamini-Zuma is the first woman to lead the African Union Commission.
