Tripoli, Libya - The head of the Executive Committee of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC), Mahmoud Djibril, has said that all Arab and international agencies are welcomed to participate in the reconstruction of the country after damages to infrastructures following eight months of anti-Mouammar Kadhafi fighting. But he warned that those partaking in the programme must 'operate under strict supervision and refrain from toying with the country's sovereignty.'
Djibril made the assertion in Tripoli on Sunday at a press briefing, where he also announced the discovery of chemical weapons in two areas of the country, which he said had been reported to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), based in The Hague and the US.
Djibril said Libyan authorities had taken measures to protect the sites in compliance with international law.
