Tripoli, Libya - In the past 24 hours, NATO has intensified its air strikes against the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and its suburbs, PANA reported. Thursday morning, the sound of fighter jets flying over Tripoli's Western suburbs were heard. The Libya state-run television station, quoting military sources, also reported that the Al-Hira region, in South-west Tripoli, was the target of heavy air raids on Wednesday. Al-Hira is home to several economic and industrial projects, and is also known to be an area with a high population density.

The raids have reportedly caused tremendous damage, while the sound of the planes involved in the raids have been terrorising the population, especially women and children.
