Investigation of crimes against humanity in Jos - The representative of Jos South and East federal constituency of Plateau State in the National Assembly, Hon. Bitrus Kaze, has disclosed that his call for investigation of crimes against humanity in Jos is receiving serious attention as a body of investigators from the International Criminal Court, Hague, would soon arrive in the state. The lawmaker said that anyone found capable would not escape justice just as he expressed appreciation to the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) and its solicitor Femi Falana for the feat.
Speaking to newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State capital, at the weekend the lawmaker remarked that in order to ensure a casualty-free Christmas, the people of the state should shun all forms of fanfare associated with the celebration in the state.
He noted that while citizens on the Plateau relaxed and believed, albeit erroneously, that everyone wanted peace, the intruders reinvigorated their evil schemes and struck when least expected last Saturday in the state.
