Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire - Pro-Gbagbo coalition to take part in Ivorian parliamentary poll. The Ivorian independent electoral commission (CEI) has decided to extend the date for prospective candidates to sign up for the 11 December parliamentary elections, to allow the participation of the pro-Gbabo National Resistance Congress for Democracy (CNRD).

CEI said in a statement that the decision to extend the date until Friday is the outcome of the progress made in the dialogue between the government and CNRD, aimed at ensuring inclusiveness in the parliamentary poll.

In a declaration on Thursday, CNRD said it would take part in the poll.
