Inferno controlled in 4 fuel tanks set ablaze in Tripoli

Four out of the 8 fuel tanks set ablaze a week ago in an oil terminal on the road to Tripoli airport during clashes between rival militias fighting for its control, have been extinguished, the Libyan National Oil Company (NOC) announced on Wednesday.

Competition to be organised to recruit imams for training in Morocco

Conakry, Guinea - Guinea's Islamic League is to organise a competition to select 500 prospective imams to be trained in Morocco under a scholarship scheme by the north African nation for that purpose, League's General Secretary Abdoulaye Diassi has announced.

Security: Abducted Jordanian Ambassador freed in Libya

Tripoli, Libya - Jordanian Ambassador in Libya Faouaz al-Atyane, who was abducted in Libya's capital Tripoli 15 April, has been released by his captors and he is now heading  to his country, the Libyan television reported Tuesday.

Banking: Tunisian Bank, African Islamic banks sign pact
