Super Eagles at 2013 AFCON: Nigeria's 2-goal hero dedicates goals to son, Brentley

African Nations Cup trophySouth Africa - Victor Moses, the Super Eagles two-goal hero in the last Group C match against Ethiopia here Tuesday, has dedicated the penalty goals to his little baby son, Brentley.


Moses told told PANA at the Olympic Park Stadium, the training ground of the Super Eagles in Rustenburg, that his thoughts and attention are now focused on the African Nations Cup trophy as well as emerging as the tournament’s most valuable player (MVP).

Moses, who created and converted the two penalty kicks, said it was an agony for him to miss Nigeria’s opening matches in the tournament, owing to injuries he received at the pre-tournament training sessions.

The Chelsea star was quoted by Eagles Media Officer, Ben Alaiya, as saying it will be terrific to be declared the Most Valuable Player of the AFCON tourney. “But, I prefer the team to win games than for me to be MVP, if both come to pass then all good and well.'

The Super Eagle resumed training on Wednesday evening.
