Tunis, Tunisia - Tunisia's Constituent National Assembly will meet Sunday in a plenary session to adopt the country's new draft constitution, PANA reported from here Saturday. To be adopted, the draft constitution must be supported by a two-thirds majority, at least 145 deputies.
If the Constitution is adopted, the signing ceremony will be held Monday.
The Assembly Thursday completed the text-by-text review of the draft constitution, after over two years of debate.
'This draft Constitution, reviewed article by article by parliamentarians, is progressive and gives out the basis of a modern state answering the Revolution's hopes,' Assembly President Mustapha Ben Jaafar said Friday.
