Football Fifa Rankings - There was no movement for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the March ranking of the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA, which was released on Thursday.
The Super Eagles, recently crowned African Champions, stayed put at the 30th position in the world and 4th amongst African teams.
Nigeria, after her triumph in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, became one of the world's top 50 teams. But with little or no activity since the victory over Burkina Faso in the final of Africa's biggest football tournament on February 8, the Eagles remained static on the monthly rankings.
The Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire despite dropping one step in the March rankings from 12th to 13th spot remain Africa's highest ranked team.
Ghana, Mali, Nigeria, Algeria, Zambia, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Central Africa Republic and Cape Verde Islands make up the continent's top 10 teams
Spain remains the highest ranked team in the world and is closely followed by Germany and Argentina in second and third place respectively.
According to FIFA, a total of 18 'A' international matches were taken into account for the March edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on April 11, 2013.
If Nigeria plays formidably against their Kenyan counterparts in the World Cup qualifiers in Calabar, she could go up the FIFA ranking.
