Tunis, Tunisia - Three suspected terrorists were killed on Monday morning in clashes with Tunisia's special forces in the country's North-east, according to the Tunisian news agency, TAP.
The agency reported that three members of the special forces were injured in the clashes, which lasted for hours.
The report said one of the terrorists killed could possible be an Algerian.
On 16 Feb., three members of the National Guard (gendarmerie) and a civilian were killed by terrorists who disguised as policemen.
In a related development, Tunisia's Interior Ministry has reported a clash between a unit of the National Guard and two suspected terrorists who were riding in a vehicle in Sidi Bouzid, in the country's Mid-west, on Monday.
The security forces chased the two suspected terrorists who left their vehicle and fled, ministry spokesperson Mohamed Ali Aroui said.
Two members of the National Guard were injured in the clash.
