Information and Communications Infrastructure - The Gambian President, Yahya Jammeh, has appointed Nana Grey-Johnson as his new Minister of Information and Communications Infrastructure, PANA confirmed from here Wednesday.
According to a press statement from President Jammeh's office in Banjul, the new minister's appointment took effect from 12 March.
'The general public is hereby informed that His Excellency, The President of the Republic of The Gambia, Yahya AJJ Jammeh, acting under the provisions of the constitution, has appointed Mr. Nana Grey-Johnson as Minister of Information and Communications Infrastructure with effect from 12 March,' the statement announced.
Currently under the responsibility of the office of the Gambian leader, the position had remained vacant for a long time.
