Nigeria begins training ahead of 2014 World Cup qualifier

2014 World Cup qualifier - Nigeria's Super Eagles have kick-started their training for the 23 March World Cup qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in Nigeria's southern city of Calabar.


The home-based members of the team began training in the capital city of Abuja Tuesday, and are expected to be joined later by the counterparts playing abroad.

Head coach Stephen Keshi has invited home-based 23 players to camp for the match.

The match is one of the double-header in group F of the World Cup qualifiers, which also comprise Namibia and Malawi.

Nigeria leads the group with 4 points, followed by Namibia with 3, Malawi with 2 and Kenya with 1.
