Tunis, Tunisia - The European Union (EU) is to increase its aid to Tunisia from 150 million Euro in 2011 to 240 million Euro in 2014, the European Commissioner for Partnership Enlargement and Policy, Stefan Füle, said on Friday.
He said the EU can increase that aid to 300 million Euros as economic support for Tunisia in the years to come.
Mr Füle was speaking on Friday at the end of talks in the capital Tunis with the Tunisian Prime minister Mahdi Jomaa.
He said he renewed EU's support to Tunisia within the framework of the country's transitional process.
The European Commissioner said that his talks with Mr Jomaa were an opportunity to discuss the present situation in Tunisia and how the EU can help her overcome its challenges.
