Tripoli, Libya - Ten people were killed in separate attacks on the cities of Benghazi and Derna in Eastern Libya and Sirte in central part of the country Thursday, medical sources said.
In Derna, gunmen killed four people and injured two others.
In recent months, the city has witnessed a series of attacks and assassinations targeting both security officials and foreigners.
In Benghazi, unidentified gunmen shot on the head of the Inspection Department at the Ministry of Health for the Eastern region.
The official died on the way to the hospital.
