Football Russian league - Nigeria and CSKA Moscow winger, Ahmed Musa, scored an important goal in the 72nd minute for his club during a match against Krylya Sovevbtov on Saturday.
The goal, Musa's ninth for the club this season, has now taken CSKA to the top of the Russian League table with 46 points, 5 ahead of Anzhi Makhachkala. It also makes Musa the second top scorer so far this season in the Russian League.
Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES from his base in Russia, the forward said, "I am very happy for scoring the goal and for making my club proud. It's a collective work."
He told his fans and Nigerians to "expect more."
The Nations Cup winner said he believes he and his teammates will help CSKA Moscow win the 16-team Russian League this season.
"I'm very optimistic that we'll win the league this season," he said.
