Nigeria vs Honduras in friendly match

Football friendly match - Nigeria will not play Honduras in friendly match - NFF. Contrary to reports in the media, Nigeria will not play any friendly match against Honduras, the Secretary General of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Musa Amadu, has said.

Popular sports site, SuperSport.com, earlier quoted the president of the Honduras Football Federation, Rafael Callejas, as saying the Central American nation will play against the Super Eagles in a friendly match in the United States.

'"First there was confusion because (Honduras head coach) Luis Fernando Suarez thought he'll play against Nigeria on June 2 but the game is on May 26 and the June 2 game is against Israel. So it is a clear issue," SuperSport quoted Callejas as saying.

Amadu, however, vehemently denies the existence of such a match.

"We are not playing any country named Honduras, I don't know where this is coming from, it is a false report, we are only playing Mexico," Amadu said in a phone conversation with PREMIUM TIMES.

The Nigeria Football Federation had announced last week that Nigeria will play a friendly match against Mexico in Texas, United States of America on May 31.
