The American Citizens Services office at the U.S. Embassy in Banjul, The Gambia, Monday announced that two American citizens are missing in the country.
In a statement made available to PANA here, the U.S Embassy said the two men were last seen in Tranquil, The Gambia, in June 2013.
It identified the citizens as Alhaji Ceesay and Ebrima Jobe, saying their families notified the Embassy about their disappearance last summer.
The statement said that since then, the US government had raised its concerns over their welfare with the Government of The Gambia and has sought the government’s assistance in locating them.
The US government again urged The Gambian government to intensify its efforts to assist in locating the missing citizens.
