International - Chinese president visits Congo 29 March.
The Chinese president, Xi Jinping, will embark on a two-day visit to Congo on 29 March, official sources told PANA here Thursday.
According to the sources, Jinping's visit, the first by a Chinese president, is expected to boost the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Congo and China signed a strategic cooperation accord in 2006 when Chinese Prime Minister, Wen Jiabao, visited the African country.
On 22 February 2014, the two countries will celebrate the 50th year of their diplomatic relationship.
