Football - Two Cameroonian clubs, Union Sportive of Douala and Asters FC, were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League, respectively, during the round of 32 matches played across Africa over the weekend.
Union Sportive of Douala was eliminated by Warri Wolves of Nigeria, despite the draw 1-1 in the return leg, while Astres Douala FC was eliminated by TP Mazembe of DR Congo, after losing 3-0 to the Congolese. Both teams played 1-1 in the first leg.
Cameroon's third club in the continental competitions, Coton Sport, beat Burundi's Flambeau de l’Est 5-0 in the second leg to advance to the round of 16 of the CAF Champions League. The Burundians had won the first leg 1-0.
In the next round, Coton Sport will play against Algerian club ES Setif.
