Nigeria confirms football friendly against Mexico - The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the country's national football team, the Super Eagles, will take on their Mexican counterparts in an international friendly in Houston, US, 31 May.
According to local media reports Thursday, NFF Secretary-General Musa Amadu confirmed the match, to be played at the Reliant Stadium.
The high-profile friendly will be used by both teams to prepare for the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil.
Nigeria is the African champion, while Mexico is the champion of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF).
The eight-nation Confederations Cup will be played 15-30 June in several cities in Brazil.
